OWWA RWO2 Repatriation Team extended full assistance to our Kabayan, a domestic worker in Malaysia for 29 years, who returned home due to a serious medical condition. She arrived in the Philippines in need of immediate medical attention and care, yesterday.
Upon her arrival, the team, with Nurse II Ghenhis Khan P. Palattao, AA Jesusa L. Tabao, and Driver II Rufino L. Baquiran, ensured that all necessary arrangements were in place. We coordinated with her next of kin and the Repatriation Assistance Division to facilitate a seamless transition from the airport to her hometown. To bring her closer to home, we arranged a domestic flight to Cauayan City and secured hospital acceptance at Southern Isabela Medical Center in Santiago, Isabela.
From the moment she landed, we provided hands-on support, assisting her through airport procedures, transportation, and hospital admission.
As part of the assistance provided, OFW is qualified under Balik Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay Program (BPBH) and the Welfare Assistance Program (WAP) Medical Assistance to help support her recovery and reintegration. Through these efforts, we reaffirm our commitment to the welfare of OFWs, ensuring that even in the most difficult circumstances, they are not alone.#
