CAUAYAN CITY — At least 100 examinees of Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) were not allowed to take the test on Sunday, January 30, at the Cauayan City National High School (CCNHS) and Cauayan North Central School after the results in their antigen tests came back positive.
Dr. Alfredo Gumaru Jr., Cauayan Schools Division Superintendent, said that the examinees were not included in the official list of 1,500 aspiring teachers who were allowed to take the examination at the said two schools.
The examinees were brought to the isolation units of the schools and were fetched by health workers from their local government units for quarantine.
However, they will not be subjected to reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test which confirms whether or not a patient is afflicted with COVID-19.
“It is saddening to know that they would not be allowed to take the examination. However, they will be rescheduled in next batches of examinees,” he added.
Teachers who have been tasked as watchers and proctors have been checked of their “full vaccination” cards before entering the testing rooms.
Gumaru has reminded examinees to observe health protocols until the end of the test.#
