CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake shook Itbayat island-town in Batanes at about 12:09 a.m. on Sunday, October 31, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

The nine-kilometer-deep quake, which was tectonic in origin, was recorded 77 km southwest of Itbayat town.

The quake was also felt in Basco town, the capital town of Batanes.

No one was reported injured or damaged in the quake.

No aftershocks were recorded.
