CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY – In line with the PNP core value of “Makakalikasan,” and continuous to “Plant a tree program” of the Valley Cops under the leadership of PBGEN STEVE B LUDAN, Regional Director, Police Regional Office 2, a tree planting activity were conducted by the Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) Class “SANLIYAB” at Training Camp, Barangay Mangga, Quezon, Isabela today, February 19, 2022.

The activity was spearheaded by PCOL DANTE A LUBOS, Chief, Regional Learning Doctrine Development Division represented the Regional Director together with PLTCOL ERNESTO R MACASIL, Chief, Regional Special Training Unit 2 and participated by the Regional Staffs and personnel of the Regional Special Training Unit 2.

A total of three hundred (300) fruit-bearing and non-fruit bearing trees such as “lumboy, santol, caimito, ipil, talisay (umbrella tree) and mahogany” were planted at the said camp.

PCOL Lubos on his message he stated the initiatives of the Regional Director Ludan for the continuous conducts of plant a tree program. He emphasized on the importance of planting trees and continuously monitoring of planted trees in different areas in the region to ensure they are fully grown. Also, he remembered that heavy rainfall that triggered massive flooding in several areas including Cagayan Valley which was one of the most severely affected by the “Typhoon Ulysses”.

The activity aims to propagate more trees for a safer and better environment for the future generation and help the effect of climate change. (PNP PRO2 PR)
