Camp Marcelo A Adduru, Tuguegarao City – Cagayan Police Provincial Office strenthened partnership with Cagayan Valley Medical Center Blood Bank as both parties entered into a Memorandum of Agreement coinciding with the 1st Quarter Dugong Magiting Bloodletting Activity at City Mall Commercial Center, Pengue Ruyu, Tuguegarao City this morning.

The said undertaking which was guested by Dr. Glenn Matthew G. Baggao, CVMC, Medical Center Chief together with Sarajane U. Balisi, Head of CVMC Bloodbank was purposely to establish and maintain a blood reserve at said medical facility which usually caters vast number of patients in Region 2 and nearby provinces.

Part of the crafted agreement was the donation of blood collected during bloodletting drives initiated by the Cagayano Cops to replenish the volume already given to patients. Additionally, it was stipulated in the MOA that every PNP personnel, their dependents and other constituents of Cagayan authorized by the Blood Bank and Cagayan PPO have guaranteed blood supply during major surgeries and medical emergencies.

Police Colonel Renell R Sabaldica, Provincial Director, Cagayan Police Provincial Office celebrated his 49th birthday today by donating blood. “I’ve been doing this for the past couple of years as a way of giving a part of me to people in need. Aside from that, to save a life with the simple help that we offer is one of the noble things that we can do as we journey in this life,” PD Sabaldica said in an interview.

Moreover, the bloodletting activity was also participated by the Cagayano Cops; other PRO2 personnel; members of Non-Government agencies and Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT), KKDAT and other stakeholders.

Afterwhich, Ms. Leah Sabaldica, President, PRO2 Officers’ Ladies Club led the implementation of “Project UBE” which stands for “United for Baby of Eve, Isangdaang Piso para sa Batang may kailangan” wherein four recipients with severe health conditions were given cash assistance and bag of grocery items.
