SANTIAGO CITY––A 38-year-old policeman and his companion were arrested Wednesday during a drug buy-bust operation in this city, authorities said.

Investigators identified the suspects as Master Sergeant Roel Gacutan and Jaime Grijalvo, 37.

Louella Tomas, information officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Cagayan Valley, said the two suspects were caught around 4:30 p.m. selling two sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover agent in Barangay Calaocan.

Seized from them were two sachets of alleged shabu worth P13,600, a .9mm-caliber gun, two magazines with live bullets, and their car.

The two suspects will face charges for illegal possession of firearms and violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.#
