DISPLAYING her prowess in the professional tennis circuit, Filipina sensation Alexandra Eala defeated Luksika Kumkhum of Thailand, 6-4, 6-2, in the W25 Chiang Rai final round to cop her second International Tennis Federation title.
Steadier down the stretch, the 16-year-old Eala broke Khumkhum’s serves four times to eventually win the match. She also won the W15 Manacor in Spain in 2021.
Eala’s victory came as she prepares for bigger tournaments. She will represent Philippines in the Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam in May this year.
Ranked 533rd in the world, Eala would climb the rankings for winning over Khumkhum, ranked 66th in the world.#
