Alex Eala will face another Grand Slam winner and a former world no. 1 in Iga Świątek in the quarterfinals of the Miami Open.
Eala breezed through the quarterfinal round via a walkover as Paula Baldosa was injured.
Iga is the former US Open champion and 4x French Open winner. Shr defeated Elina Svitolina (7(7)-6(5), 6-3) in their Round of 16 match that lasted more than 2 hours and finished at past 12 AM in Miami time.#
