Two alleged marijuana courier suspects were arrested during conduct of police checkpoint operation at Sitio Dinakan, Barangay Dangoy, Lubuagan, Kalinga, evening of September 24, 2022.
A total of 6 pieces’ tubular marijuana dried leaves and stalks weighing more or less 6,000 grams with an estimated value of Seven hundred twenty thousand pesos (Php720,000.00), and 138 bricks more or less 138,000 grams valued at Sixteen million five hundred sixty thousand pesos (Php16,560,000.00) intercepted by Lubuagan MPS, Pasil MPS, Balbalan MPS, PIU/PDEU Kalinga, Tabuk CPS, Kalinga PECU, RID, PRO-COR, RID PRO-2, 50ID, 50IB, PA, AFP, 1st and 2nd KPFMC.
Accordingly, operatives received an information that an alleged red Mitsubishi Adventure vehicle bearing plate number ABP 4352 is in transit loaded with bricks of dried marijuana leaves and stalks from Tinglayan, Kalinga going to Metro Manila via Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Further, seized during the operation are 2 units of android cellular phones, one (1) car key, one-unit red Mitsubishi Adventure with plate number ABP 4352.
Onsite inventory of the seized items was conducted in the presence of the arrested suspects duly witnessed by representatives from the DOJ, Media, and Barangay Kagawad of Dinakan, Lubuagan, Kalinga.
The arrested suspects were all identified from Manila, Philippines will be facing drug trafficking charges for violation of RA 9165 also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
