The event was initiated by the Sangunniang Kabataan Federation of Aguinaldo, in partnership with 2nd Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company, Aguinaldo Municipal Police Station, 1501st Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, Youth Mobile Force- Ifugao Chapter, Bureau of Fire Protection-Aguinaldo, Ifugao Helping Hands Inc., Local Youth Development Office-Aguinaldo, Local Government Unit of Aguinaldo, and Barangay Local Government Unit of Jacmal.
During the activity, the participants embarked on a 30-km journey, starting from Damag Elementary School in Brgy Damag, passing through various landscapes and terrains, until they reached the summit of Mt. Mabfeher in Brgy Jacmal.
The event concluded with a turnover ceremony where the proceeds were directly handed over to the three selected beneficiaries, all of whom are currently battling cancer.
This challenging hike not only tested the participants’ endurance but also allowed them to experience the natural beauty of the municipality, fostering a sense of camaraderie and achievement among the group.
Additionally, the event made a significant impact as the funds collected were able to provide much-needed support for the beneficiaries’ medical treatment and care.#
