Filipina tennis star Alexandra Eala survived the tough-playing Varvara Garcheva, France tennister, in the deciding third set, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, to enter the final round of the Eastbourne Open.
Garcheva, World No. 111, engaged with Eala, World No. 74, in a nip-and-tuck affair before losing steam in the third set.
She will wait for the winner in the other semifinal pairing, which is being played at press time against giant-killer Maya Joint and Anastacia Pavlyuchenkova.(VV)#
