Continuing her giant-killer plays, 19-year-old Filipina tennis star Alexandra Eala stunned fifth seed Madison Keys with a 6-4, 6-2 two-set win in the Miami Open on Sunday.
The wildcard player registered the first historic Filipina victory against a top-10 opponent.
She will later play against Spain’s Paula Badosa for a spot in the quarterfinals.
Eala was the 2022 US Open girls’ singles champion and was a student of the Rafael Nadal Academy in Mallorca, Spain since she was 13.
She earlier defeated No. 25 Jelena Ostapenko.#
