Two Philippine Navy (PN) pilots were killed when the Robinson R-22 light training helicopter they were flying crashed near the Cavite City Public Market while attempting to make an emergency landing Thursday morning, the Philippine Navy and Philippine National Police said. The helicopter took off from Sangley Airport while having a training flight with two officer pilots onboard before the crash. The pilots were rushed to nearby hospitals by the responding teams from the Philippine Fleet and Naval Air Wing but they died due to severe multiple injuries, Philippine Navy spokesperson Captain John Percie Alcos said in a statement. The names of the fatalities have yet to be publicized pending notification of their relatives.#
