CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY – A 28-year old electrician categorized as High Value Individual in the PNP and PDEA Priority list was arrested in an intensified anti-illegal drug buy bust operation by police authorities in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya yesterday.
The suspect identified as Rowell Prado, alias “Boyaks,” was arrested at his residence in Mangabat Street, Purok 4, Barangay Bonfal Proper, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya by operatives of Bayombong Police Station, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, PDEA NVOP in coordination with PDEA Region 2 after selling illegal drugs to a PDEA agent who posed as buyer.
Confiscated from the suspect were one (1) piece one thousand peso bill with serial no. CA753640 (buy bust money); one (1) piece heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “Shabu” (buy-bust stuff); two (2) pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing the same illegal drug (posession) and one (1) unit of red TMX 125 Motorcycle without plate number believed to be utilized in illegal drugs transactions.
The inventory, marking and taking of photographs were done at the place of arrest duly witnessed by the suspect, Barangay Kagawad Rodelio Calleda and Mr. Adelius Caesar Seva, Media Representative.
The suspect is now at the custody of Bayombong Police Station and a case was already filed against him through inquest proceedings for Violation of Article 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, Police Brigadier General Steve Ludan, PRO2 Regional Director lauded the operating personnel of the PNP and PDEA for another successful operation against the illegal drug trade. “We will not cease our anti-illegal drug operations until all illegal drug personalities are put behind bars,” RD Ludan added.(PNP-Region 2 press release)
