RIZAL, Kalinga-Rizalians in Kalinga community involvement in crime prevention was once again proven with the apprehension of a drunk man who indiscriminately fired his gun on March 4, 2022 at around 4:00 in the afternoon at Barangay Macutay, Rizal, Kalinga during a police response.
Rizal police station headed by Police Capt. Ruff Manganip identified the violator of Omnibus Election Code and RA 10591 Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act as Lixbert Dacquial, 41, married, farmer and a resident of Macutay, Rizal, Kalinga under the influence of liqour. Responding police led by Police Lt. Clemence Wacas immediately pacified and accosted Dacquial who was drunk in possesion of short firearm causing havoc in the community by firing his gun on the air.
Recovered from the possession of Dacquial was one (wave sling bag containing, one cal. 45 M1911A1-FS with serial number RIA1935493, one magazine for cal.45, six live ammunitions, four empty shells, one brown wallet with different identification cards of the suspect.
The suspect was brought to Rizal MPS for documentation and filing of appropriate cases. The arrest of Dacquial is the first recorded violation on Comelec gun ban in the Municipality for the 2022 National and Local Election. (PNP-Rizal, Kalinga press release)
