TABUK CITY – A regional top-ten drug personality of the Cordillera has been arrested in the implementation of search warrant for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Joint personnel of Tabuk City Police Station led by Police Lt. Col. Dinulong Tombali and other police units in Kalinga in coordination with PDEA Cordillera had implemented the Search Warrant for Violation of Sections 5, 11 and 16 of RA 9165 at around 6:20 in the morning of October 27, 2021 at New Balbalan, Lacnog, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
A male personality, married, farmer, native of Tinglayan, Kalinga and a resident of said place and listed as Regional Top Ten Drug Personality of PRO-COR was arrested during the operation and yielded in the confiscation from his direct custody, possession and control of Twenty (20) pieces fully grown Marijuana plant with an estimated value of PHP 4,000.00, Forty(40) pieces Marijuana seedlings with an estimated value of PHP 1,600.00, Marijuana seeds weighing more or less 5 grams with an estimated value of PHP 125.00, One (1) brick of alleged dried Marijuana leaves and stalks wrap in a cling wrap weighing more or less 1,000 grams with an estimated value of PHP 120,000.00, Ten(10) pieces small used foil, three (3) pieces disposable lighter (different colors) and one improvised tooter.
The search and inventory were conducted peacefully and witnessed by the arrested suspect, Brgy kagawad, Media representative and DOJ representative. The suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to this station for proper documentation prior turn over to the Search Warrant’s issuing court and turn over to PNP Crime Laboratory for drug test and qualitative examination.
