ENRILE, CAGAYAN–At least 3,000 supporters of Manila Mayor and presidential aspirant Francisco “Isko Moreno” Dmagoso gathered at Taguibao compound in this town, a known bailiwick of the Enrile political clans who are supporting the candidacy of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the May 9 elections.

Moreno thanked his local supporters, including Aksyon Demokratiko mayoral bet and incumbent Vice Mayor Expedito Taguibao, who helped organized his campaign sortie here.

The agricultural town of Enrile is a third-class municipality named after Spanish Governor-General Pasqual Enrile, an ancestor of former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, who publicly endorsed Marcos Jr. last month.

Situated in the southernmost part of Cagayan, the town has a population of 36,705 people based on the 2020 census.
