Camp Marcelo A Adduru, Tuguegarao City – The implementation of Search Warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act yielded to the capture of an employee of the Local Government Unit of Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya at Barangay Poblacion of said municipality this morning, October 1.
The suspect was identified as Elmer Peralta, 57 years old and a resident of the aforementioned locality.
Seized contrabands during the police operation include one unit of 60 mm Mortar Bomb High Explosive; two magazines of Caliber .45; Forty Five pieces of Caliber 9mm live ammunition; one piece of Caliber .22 Pistol with with inserted empty magazine; one piece Carbine 5.56 mm Airsoft with inserted magazine; one piece Marksman 2004 Airsoft; one Cal.22 airsoft with inserted empty magazine; and one bottle copperhead Pellet.
After effecting an arrest, Peralta together with the recovered pieces of evidence were brought to CIDG Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Field Unit for documentation and filing of appropriate charges in court.
The successful operation was conducted under the “Oplan Paglalansag Omega” of Nueva Vizcaya PNP and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Regional Field Unit 2 together with Aritao Municipal Police Station; 2nd Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Mobile Force Company; Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Intelligence Unit and Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Explosives and Canine Unit.#
