Tuguegarao City- Earlier today, SM Tuguegarao employees joined the Local Government Units (LGUs) on a massive tree planting held at Agro-Eco Tourism park Nammabalan Sur.

As part of Tuguegarao’s Pavvurulun- Afi Festival activities, the LGU tapped SM to be one of their partners in the massive tree planting. SM has continued its efforts to intensify the environmental protection program by donating 200 Narra seedlings.

Meanwhile, some personnel of Tuguegarao City Police Station and Cagayan Police Provincial Office joined the said activity.  Also present during the massive tree planting were SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown Asst. Mall Manager Romel S. Uy, SM City Tuguegarao Asst. Mall Manager Kristine Iris V. Ceballos, Hon. Councilor Maria Rosario “Charo” Soriano, Mr.  Marcelino Gumabay, OIC CENRO and Rural Improvement Club (RIC) led by Namabbalan Sur Brgy. Captain Margita Micua. 

“All of the volunteers here have come together for a worthy cause which is the protection of the environment. Through this activity, we are helping the government in raising the awareness to the community on the importance of planting trees,” Uy said.
